Busy, Busy, Busy!

Hi, sorry I have not done many posts lately! I have been trying to focus on finishing up on the house projects I have started! We have finally replaced the cat pee carpet that was in the basement and it is so much better! Also, after one month of ducking and running every time we got out of the shower, or out of bed, we finally have curtains up! Unfortunately it seems like every time I start a project, I make some silly mistake that slows me up. For example, I accidentally painted all of the closet doors shut!
This weekend we attended a Families Supporting Adoption Conference in Pennsylvania. It was really good and we had a fun time. There was a panel of 4 birth-mothers that all told their stories which was touching and informative. I always like hearing the perspective of birth-mothers.
We also had mini classes. They had 8 classes, but you had to chose 3. I went to on adoption outreach, funding your adoption and starting a Family Supporting Adoption Chapter. Scott attended the Trans-racial Adoption class, and went to the rest with me.
You will probably notice some of the fruits of my "funding your adoption" class in the previous post. The lady teaching the class had 7 biological children, but felt compelled to adopt a little girl from Liberia that she had come across one by coincidence after looking at a friends blog who had been to an orphanage in another country.(She is now pregnant with her 9th child!) Her husband was stressed about money, and with the adoption costing $16,00 did not think that it would be possible. He told his wife that if she could come up with the money, they could adopt her. She was so sure the little girl was meant to be part of their family that she started their home study right away. After bake sales, ward garage sale fund raisers, $1 email fund raisers like I have posted, pizza fund raisers, a tax refund and more, they were able to adopt the 6 year old little girl! I was inspired by her ability to hustle to make money to grow their family and am now motivated to do the same.

It was a fun weekend and like a mini vacation. I am happy to be back though! There is a lot of work still to be done!!! Don't give up on me though. I will get back to posting pictures and videos in no time!
Noah's sealing and baby blessing are in exactly two weeks! I am so excited to see all of you that are coming out for it!
