Feeling Better

Daniel caught RSV late last week. This Tuesday he was having a hard time breathing in the evening. We decided that he would be okay for the night and he went to his scheduled one month Dr.s apt on Wednesday. The Dr said that his breathing was actually pretty bad, and that if he got any worse that night, that we should take him to the hospital. That night when he woke up at 9pm, he was limp, breathing very rapidly and his hands and feet were blue. We decided to take him to the emergency room. We had tried suctioning his nose at home, but were not able to give him much relief. The machine at the hospital was much more powerful and they were able to clear him airways. His breathing got much better. The doctor let us go home at 2 am. Luckily that was the peek of his cold, and he is getting a little better everyday. Today is screaming unless I have him in the baby carrier, and then he will sleep. If I set him down, he wakes up and cries 5 minutes later. I finally decided just to carry him around so that he can get some good sleep. Hopefully he will be feeling much better soon.
