For Em part 1

Here is a tutorial for my sister on how to make a puff quilt.
Cut squares with junk fabric(green checkers) 1 inch bigger than desired  puff.
Cut your squares with your desired fabric 2" larger than desired puff.

ie: for 4" puffs cut 5" from junk and 6" from nice fabric.

Place junk fabric on the back of nice fabric so that 2 sides match up

Place fabric, nice side up. Seam should be with the fabric on the edge of the foot.

BEFORE you start sewing, add a small pleat about 1/3 down your square. The pleat should face out.  AS SOON as you have sewn over the first pleat, line up the bottom corners, then smooth out the top layer to add the second pleat about 1/3 of the way up, also facing out.

Sew over second pleat. Your corners and side should match up.It is not important to be exact at where you place the pleats.

Stop needle shortly before the end, just enough to turn the foot and continue sewing

Sew three sides, adding two pleats to each side, leave 4th side open. continue directly on the the next puff, creating a string of puffs.

Once you have a string of puffs, cut them all apart. Placed a small peace of poly cotton fill in the center of the puff. Do not over stuff. Sew the fourth edge shut, adding 2 pleats, continue on with next puff, not cutting the string, creating another string of puffs. When you have enough to make a row, line up two squares together and sew them together with a half inch seam. Once you have 2 rows completed, you can sew those rows together.

You can see here, I have completed 3 rows...

...and sewn about 200 mini pillows!
More directions to come! I will take photos of the next steps when I get there, hopefully in the next couple days!
