July

July was a good month. We got to get out and do a few fun activities together. Scott has taken an interest in mountain biking and has gone a couple times and would like to get more into it. I decided to change up decorations in the living room. I painted a couple walls, got some new pictures and throw pillows, and moved the furniture around. It was a lot of fun.

For the 4th of July Dad took Noah to see the City fire works while I stayed home with Maya and Daniel. They took the bike trailor to the top of the hospital parking garage instead of going to the park where it would be too loud. There were lots of people there that had also come to watch the fireworks. We bought a ton of POP-IT's and Noah had a lot of fun with those. Noah had a great time, but said that the fire works were still too loud! Despite the the noise, he still had a great time and  asked to see more every day that week.

I took the kids to Green Bryer Park to go swimming. Two of my neighbors came too, so I had a little help here and there. It was a beautiful day. Maya slept the whole time, and the boys had a blast playing in the water and sand. Daniel especially loves the water and is fearless as he wades around and has so much fun..  Our neighbor bought Noah a squirty toy that he had soooo much fun with.
Noah accidentally peed in his shorts at one point and we took them off and he ran around for a few minutes before we put on his new shorts, and the park police came over to talk to me about him running around naked. It seemed a little silly. I guess I got a little desensitized when I lived in France and all the kids ran around nakey while they played in the pool.
Noah snuggled up under the towel after a fun day in the sun, and fell asleep holding his food.

We took the boys bowling. There were lazer lights and the boys had a lot of fun dancing around in. Daniel was a little hard to keep a hold on since he kept wanting to run out into the lanes. Maya slept most of the time suprisingly, even though the music was loud. When she woke up, she was so happy and peaceful, so we pulled out the camera, and then she started crying of course. We had a lot of fun on our night out!

Noah in July
Noah is getting so big! He can get dressed all by himself now! He can put on his pants, shirt, socks and shoes. He can go to the bathroom standing up at the toilet when he wants to, but doesn't want to very often! Noah can also get himself buckled into the car, which makes going out just that much easier. Both of the boys had been waking up at 6 to 6:30 for the months before Mayas birth, but now they are sleeping in to 7:30 to 8 which is SOOOO nice! Noah is having a lot of fun riding around on his tricycle and is getting really fast! Noah likes music, and tries to sing a long to the radio and wants me to also.

Daniel in July
Daniel is also getting so big! He learned how to do the sign for "all done" and "more" this month. Daniel loves to watch Curious George and Dora. He loves meal times and will eat his meal, and then get down and see if he can get anything that he threw on the floor before we pick it up. Daniel has said Mamma a few times which is really sweet. Daniel is a definite guys guy and loves to walk around to the men at church to see who will pick him up. The boys LOVE to play hide and seek and get so excited to hide under a blanket while we walk around the house looking for them. Daniel is in Nursery now at church and is doing a great job. He doesn't cry when we drop him off and plays really well with the other kids.

Maya in July
Maya is a little sweet heart! I am having so much fun with my new little baby! She is almost 2 months old, I can't believe it! We had her blessed last week at church. She got a dirty diaper RIGHT before it was time to go up, so I changed her in a rush. Scott said that she tooted the whole time during her blessing, but you couldn't hear it over the microphone. She was happy and didn't cry until a little at the end. She looked so pretty in her blessing dress.
Last month May would get gassy in the evenings and would get really fussy. That is much better now and she is much more comfortable. Lately she is a little hard to get to put to sleep at night, but once she is asleep, sleeps great, and only wakes up once to eat. Maya and I sleep together and night time is my favorite time of the day. I love being able to snuggle her for hours with no distractions.
