20 days to go...

Yea! It's my first blog post. For those of you who I don't talk to as much, Scott and I are adopting a baby! We started the process in Dec. 2007. We were legally approved for adoption in June. By July we had our profile up and ready to go. We corresponded with a few girls over the next few months. It was mid September that Neena first wrote us. In her second email she invited us to come visit. We drove to Michigan at the beginning of October and loved their whole family. In November Neena came out and visited us for Thanksgiving. After picking her up at the airport we went straight to the Olive Garden. That is were she told us that she had officially picked us and would like us to be the parents of her baby. It was crazy and I didn't show much emotion like I probably would have liked to. It just didn't seem like it could really be real. Over the past few months we have kept in touch with Neena through email and drove to Michigan in February for an ultrasound. Neena liked the name Jamison, so that is what we are calling him for now and that will probably be his middle name. Neena is due in 20 days! She is hoping to have him a little earlier than that at the beginning of spring break so that she can get back to school. I am going to drive to Michigan probably on March 31st just to be sure I am there when he is born. I will update you all with pictures and stuff as things happen.
