Day Fifteen

Today first thing I went down for breakfast and was pleasantly suprised! We were told it was a continental breakfast, but in fact it was made to order american style breakfast food. Pancakes, eggs, bacon, omlete, what ever you want! It was great! I though I was ready to take on the world when I first woke up, but after not too long I was feeling very crampy and decided to take a nap so that I would be up for going out after Noah's nap. Scott was nice enough to take Noah for a nice long walk so I could sleep. They walked further up the historic hill that the hotel is on and even saw monkeys. Noah fell asleep on the walk home.
When Noah woke up we went to Miraflores to the Locks to see the Panama Canal. We had alot of fun and got to see a boat pass through the locks, saw the museum and watched a movie about the history of the Panama canal.
We then went out to eat. It was a place that served typical panamanian food cafteria style. They also had a grill area. I was boring and ordered a sandwich and fries form the grill. Scott was adventurous and got the local type of food, but was dissapointed. The food had all been sitting too long and was gross. We shared my sandwich and it was enough. He was still proud that he went the adventurous route.
Next we came home and packed. I decided to take the cab with the boys to the airport. I had been tearing up all day, anytime I thought about being apart from Noah. This will be our first time away from each other overnight. I will not see him for 6 days!!! We decided that Scott should take him home because the dr. suggests three whole days of bedrest after implantation. He said that I should not lift Noah at all in that time, and I dont really see how that would be possible, so Scott took him home. I cried the whole cab ride home. I am just going to try to keep busy to not think about it. I am sure Noah will be fine with Dad. Scott is taking the rest of the week off to be with him.
When I got back from the airport I saw in an email that one of the other girls that is here was at the hospital today and found out how many eggs fertilized! I got very excited and called the hospital and found that all five of my eggs were fertilized!!! This is great news!!!! Scott and I decided this morning not to transfer more than two embryos even if we only have three embryos, because the risk of triplets at my age and with our circumstances would be too high. That is why I am REALLY happy we have 5 fertilized eggs. If we have at least 4 embryos then we would have no delima as we would implant two and freeze two. We were trying to come to a decision on the number of embryos to plant now since Scott will not be there when it comes to decision time!
I was not planning on going out for dinner, but met a nice couple in the lobby and decided to catch a cab with them to town. I ended up eating with them and had a great time. I got to here some of their travel stories, and I told them about our trip. The wife is nice enough to do my shot tomorrow which I was nervous about. It is a progesterone shot and it goes in my bum and the needle is very long!
I will upload some pictures from today and yesturday soon. That will be the last of the pics for now as Scott and I accidentally left the charger in La Fortuna at the hotel and my battery is dead!!! What a bummer, we just can't manage to keep all of our stuff straight.
Oh, that reminds me of another bummer. On the way to La Fortuna(Arenal Volcano) we took a shuttle. I prepaid with a credit card, but forgot and paid the driver...plus tip. I was wondering why he looked at the money so strangely! I thought he wasnt happy with his tip! I wrote the company, but havent heard back. Bummer.
On a positive note I ALMOST lost my hotel key in a cab today which would have cost me $25, but realized just before he drove away completely, and I was able to chase him down. I need to get some deeper pockets!!
Okay, until tomorrow.....
ps, the spell checker is set to spanish so I can't check my spelling, and I know, I can't spell.

Wow! Congrats on all 5 eggs being fertilized! What is the difference between a fertilized egg and an embryo? I am sorry that you will have to be away from Noah. It will be over before you know it and you'll be together again.

It takes like 3 days for it to be an embryo. It is the number of cells that is the difference!
