Day Seventeen

EMBRYO TRANSFER
Today I slept in a little today and then when down for breakfast at 8.30, and then I went back to bed! I I met some friends for lunch and am at their apt while they go in for their embryo transfer.

After Lani and Chad's apt, they came back to the apartment. Everything went great for Chad and Lani.

Then Chad came with me to my apt since Scott is back in the states.

Scott and I decided to transfer only two embryos because of the risks to mom and baby in the case of trippletts.

I was so happy to see that all 5 of my eggs made it to the embryo stage. The Dr had said that there was a good chance I would end up with 3 embryos, so 5 was great!!!

I had 4 grade 1 which is the best, and 1 grade 2.

The Dr. said that my chance of pregnacy with each embryo was 20%. So I would have a 20% chance with one, a 40% chance with two and a 60% chance with three. He said that my chances with triplets was 1%. Those are some very convicing statistics, but I did stick to my guns and transfer two. The Dr strongly reccomend to transfer 3. It was very difficult to no switch last minute to three. I think if Scott was there, I might have caved.

I am on bed rest unil my flight home on the 18th!
