Today is our last day at the Arenal Volcano. Originally to make things simple, we were just going to stay in San Jose near the clinic since my appointments were only a couple of days apart and also I didn't want Scott to have the 3 hour drive here just after his plane trip.
I am so glad that we made this last minute change of plans though. This has been one of the best parts of the trip for me, and it was so much better to have this little vacation with Scott instead of just waiting in the city for my appointment. We can't do as many things as we would be able to without a baby, but I still had lots of fun.
It was kind of a rough night last night. Noah slept with us as he has been doing since the start of this trip. He was crawling all over the place in his sleep and was really restless. Once I woke up and he was near my feet at the bottom of the bed. I moved him back up, but then I couldn't sleep well because he was still rolling all around and I was afraid of him falling off. I haven't really been able to get him to sleep in a crib on this trip. Hopefully it won't be too hard to get him back into his routine when we get home.
I am in a dilemma about what to do with Noah for the last part of the trip. Originally Noah was going to stay with me when Scott leaves on the 13th, and then we would follow on the 18th. To make things easier for me after embryo transfer we decided to have Noah go home with Scott instead since I will be on bed rest for a portion and won't be able to lift him. He is so attached to me though, I feel bad to be away from him for 5 whole days!!! I am going to think about it for a couple days and see if there is a way i could work it out to keep him with me.
So anyway, Scott was nice enough to get up with Noah at 5 and let me sleep in until after 7:00. We had breakfast and went for a walk and now the boys are taking a nap together while I work on the blog. Our ride back to San Jose will be here at noon.
I have another appointment today at 5:15 where I will have another ultrasound to see how things are going. I took my last Cetrotide and Gonal F shots today. I am anxious to have my appointment and to see how things are since my first appointment results were not so great, and because I just want to make sure everything is okay with the medications since I left them out overnight the other day.
It is 8pm now and we are all settling into bed. Our ride back to San Jose ws pretty good. Noah wasn't too ancy and he eventually fell asleep. We got into town and went straight to Soda Tapias for lunch/dinner. It was pouring rain so we took a cab the short distance to the hotel.
After getting settled in we left for my apt. Things went pretty good. I still have 7 follicles which is goood. I take my Ovadril shot tomorrow morning at 5:30 am, and then I have my egg retrieval at 5:30pm on Monday.
In the meantime we are just haning out in San Jose. We leave for Panama on Monday morning.
