and I met Russ and, oh no, I forget her name, but the couple on the left, the wife is in yellow, on the beach yesterday. We met them and some friends for a hike at 6:15 this morning. They are all retired and have moved here from the States or Canada for some reason or another. Ken and Marjorie on the right are almost 90!!! They are very active and adventurous. They moved here following their grandchildren. They have lived here 11 years! It was fun talking with each of them. We saw monkeys and toucans too!
Meet the gang!
The hike was two hours and I forgot to bring my baby carrier along. Noah got pretty heavy, but he was a trouper and was pretty calm as I carried him the whole time. Plus I had decided not to bring his pacifier because I didn't want to pick it up 200 times, but then he started asking for it. He did really good without it though.
Us in front of the pretty coast.
When we came back to hotel, we were waiting for breakfast and saw this iguana in the courtyard near the pool. I tour off a big piece of banana for him and he ate it in one bite!
We saw monkies on our walk. There were three and they were in a big fight and making a lot of noise! I missed that part on video, but they all jumped over our heads, and I caught two of them with the camera.
These cool little ferns coil up when touched.
After the hike Noah and Neena took naps and I worked on the blog. Then we all packed up and went to the bus station. We took a cab there. Just as the bus was loading up I realized I had left my very expensive meds in the hotel fridge!!! I rushed back in a cab and made it for the bus just in time!!!
It was a few hour bus ride back to San Jose, and we made it just in time to check in and then catch a cab to my doctors apt.
I had an ultra sound. I have 7 follicles. Honestly I was kinda bummed when I found out. It seems like alot of people get 20 or more, and I just thought i would be lucky and have lots, and when i didn't it just scares me that it might not be enough. The doctor said I will be fine though.
Well we are all settled in at the hotel and ready to go to sleep. Scott and I made a last minute decision not to stay in San Jose the next couple of days, but to go to the Arenal Volcanoe just after Scott arrives.
It will be a 3 hour ride there, so must of our day will be traveling.
I'll write more tomorrow
